What is the distance required between electrical outlet(s) and water sources? We're moving an outlet that happens to be near the water faucet for a washer/dryer.

the only requirement is that any outlet in a laundry area now needs to be GFCI protected. Otherwise if it is a regular sink the rule is 6' or closer from the edge of the sink has to be GFCI protected.
